About Sue Brown:
Springing from the pages of her sketchbooks and inspired by all things ornithological, Sue has made collagraphs for 18 years. Collagraph is an intaglio printmaking process which involves making a collage combining tile cement, carborundum and found textures. The technique produces prints with deeply textural surfaces.
Sue is fascinated by our relationship and interaction with birds in our environment and is continually inspired by the bird visitors to her town garden.
Passionate about promoting the understanding of the artist print and the contemporary use of traditional craft techniques, Sue leads workshops and demonstrations for groups of all ages nationally in a wide variety of intaglio and mixed media sketchbook processes.
