Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th April 2021
10am - 4pm
In this course you create a multi-layered screen print. You will be taught how to create analogue positives (using a number of mark making techniques on film), coating screens, exposure and printing. Over the weekend you will produce an A3 print of two or three layers. There will be time to explore transparency of inks and overlaying colours. Taught by printmaker and illustrator Tom Frost. Tom graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 2001. He divides his time between print making, restoring his crumbling Georgian house in rural Wales and raising a young family. In recent years he has worked with clients including The V&A, Perry's Cider, Art Angels, Freight Household Goods, Selvedge Magazine, Nomnom Chocolate, Barti Ddu Rum, Quadrille Books and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. His work highlights a fascination for old matchboxes, stamps, folk art, tin toys, children's books and the natural world. Frost strives to produce items that people will cherish for many years to come.
