Create spontaneous painterly prints with this fast & fun technique … paint, layer, play. Each print is experimental and unique.
A monoprint is a one-off image created directly onto a sheet of glass or plastic with ink or paint, then transferred to paper. Using additive & subtractive techniques combined with mark-making and layering you can produce images that are somewhere between a painting and print. Spontaneous, fast, and fun this is printmaking for anyone who likes to work freely with colour and expressive marks.
This workshop is taught by guest tutor, Karen Carter.
These classes are social, relaxed sessions aimed at all abilities. We will learn a wide variety of techniques from relief printing, screen printing, intaglio printing, dyeing and batik. Most sessions are single mornings but occasionally the technique will require two sessions so this will require both to be booked - the choice is yours!
Inks and some papers are provided. Suitable for all - experienced or not.
