Unleash your creativity and discover the art of collagraph printmaking in this immersive two-day workshop, perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike.
During the course, you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of collagraphy, including tools, materials, and techniques.
- Design and construct a textured plate using materials like card, fabric, and found objects.
- Experiment with inking methods to highlight texture, depth, and detail.
- Create unique prints, exploring color and composition to develop your style.
By the end, you’ll leave with a set of original prints, a custom-made plates, and the confidence to continue your printmaking journey!

Led by Jenny McCabe, an experienced and fun tutor, this class offers a supportive space for learning and creativity. All materials are provided, so just come ready to enjoy the process and leave with your own handmade plate and prints!
Jenny McCabe is a printmaker based in Lancaster where she works from her own studio, she also teaches regularly in printrooms around the country. Jenny works mainly with intaglio printmaking methods preferring metal plate etchings and collagraph. Her work always starts with drawing and the technical challenge of turning a simple piece of metal or card into a piece of art. She breathes life into the plates with her decisive, quick, and animated mark-making. Wildlife and nature feature heavily in Jenny’s work, using messy gestural lines to capture the energy and movement of the subjects.
Jenny is also teaching a two day Etching course on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th November at our studio.
All of our workshops take place in our studio at 22 Arun Business Park, Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, PO22 9SX.
