About Us

Printmaking is at the heart of everything we do! We are passionate about our products and committed to bringing printmaking to the people.

As a small, specialist business, many of our customers have been with us for years, and we value that trust. As Handprinted grows, we remain committed to being open about how we operate.

Handprinted has been trading online since 2003, set up by Shirley, a printmaker and teacher. In 2014, we founded a printmaking studio alongside our shop and began teaching printmaking workshops. To help grow our presence in the art community and expand our global customer reach, we joined forces with Jackson’s Art Supplies in 2025. This allows us to stock even more of your favourite products too!

While we now benefit from additional support behind the scenes, Handprinted continues to operate as its own brand, led by printmakers, with a clear focus on specialist knowledge, quality tools and creative learning. Promotions on Handprinted’s website are run independently.

As printmakers ourselves, we know how important it is to have access to support and advice.

Although our operations have grown, we continue to value thoughtful, knowledgeable customer care and encourage customers to reach out if they need advice or support.

As part of joining forces with Jackson’s, our orders are now dispatched from a warehouse in Gloucester. Order processing and delivery times vary depending on the delivery method selected during checkout. While we continue to work hard to send orders out as quickly as possible, some manual changes, such as merging or editing orders, are no longer possible. We understand this may feel different, and we appreciate your understanding.

We have a large collection of helpful tutorials and videos to help you with your printmaking projects.

Our well-equipped studio is based in Bognor Regis. From here, we teach a wide variety of classes with tutors coming from all over the UK to teach for us. Open access studio sessions are available. Please let us know if you'd like to book a session. We'd love to see you!
