Intaglio
Intaglio is a printmaking method in which the image is incised into a plate. Ink is worked into the recesses of the plate and printed onto dampened paper using an etching press. Techniques such as drypoint, etching, engraving, mezzotint, and collagraph can all be printed intaglio.
