Be Brave with Relief with Ian Phillips - 2 day course - Mon 28th & Tues 29th April 2025

Using multi blocks of lino this course will experiment with bold colours, compositions, cutting and patterns to create exciting and vivid prints. Wether it is the original image, the way the image is transferred to the block, the approach in cutting or the use of colour. The aim is to come out of your comfort zone by playing with methods and approaches you, perhaps, would usually shy away from. The emphasis is on playing but gently! This workshop is aimed at people who have some experience of lino cutting but would like to be encouraged to push their work a little.

Ian is also teaching a two day Reduction Lino course on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April. Ian was one of the first tutors we had at Handprinted, so we are very excited to have persuaded him to come back!
